Black Pine Pinot
The Sweet Spot Pinot… Black Pine Means Pinot Noir
Black Pine Pinot Noir is a masterful blend of great vineyards from the Sonoma Coast. Rich in concentration, Black Pine Pinot Noir fills the glass with concentrated dark cherry and earthy aromas and flavors with herbal and spice notes and great structure ending with a silky, long finish. Our Black Pine hits Pinot Noir’s Sweet Spot with complexity, nuance and the lush mouthfeel that makes Pinot Noir so special. It’s the perfect wine for everything from burgers and a casual evening at home to a warm, inviting cassoulet and a romantic dinner for two.
Roger Roessler Signature Series
The Perfect Sites For The Perfect Wines…
The Roger Roessler Signature Series wines are born out of our respect for the work done by our vineyard partners who work tirelessly to bring out the very best qualities from their fruit. These vineyard sites are among the best that we feel warrant the special attention our winemaker gives to the creation of very small lots of artisan Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and on occasion a special varietal. We then make these special wines available on a limited basis to our Wine Club members and through our tasting room in Sonoma.
Roger’s Passion Projects
Great Expressions of the Vineyards That Grow Them Best
While Pinot Noir was our first love, from time to time we come across a varietal, a vineyard and an expression of terroir and tradition so good that we just have to bottle it.
I’ve always been very passionate about drinking and now crafting Rhone wines, and in 2010 we began to showcase our love of the very special Rhone varietals that growers in California have been able to express in their vineyards. These are small-production, delicious wines that are still value-priced additions to your table. Our Rhone-style red and white wine blends are perennial favorites. Recently we’ve joined forces with Stephanie Bonnant of Chateau des Garcinieres in Cogolan, France.
Finally, our Big Bend Chardonnay is a nod to the origins of Roger Roessler Wines. Named after one of Roger’s first homes in Sonoma, every year the wine is just that, “coming home”.
