Welcome to Roger Roessler Wines.
In 2015 we celebrated 15 years of winemaking. This evolution and adventure has taken us down many roads and produced some wines that we are truly proud of along the way.
In 2016, we were ready to turn the page on yet another exciting chapter and announced that our continued journey would be under a new banner, Roger Roessler Wines. My brother and partner Richard Roessler and I have taken our message full circle and look forward to continuing the work to bring you wines of distinction, working closely with growers and winemakers to produce wines — especially high-end Pinot Noir — that express the style of wine that we enjoy drinking and sharing with family and friends.
In our shop you will find not only our Black Pine Pinot Noir, but a host of single vineyard designates that reflect our roots as well as some “passion projects” that truly inspire us.
Our Black Pine Pinot is a great value which consistently shows our dedication to great, drinkable daily Pinot as well as remaining true to our roots as passionate Pinot lovers. The Roger Roessler Signature Series wines will remain our true passion especially with Pinot Noir. Small-lot single vineyard designated wines will be the rule here. These wines showcase best the talents of our grower partners in producing the finest quality fruit from locations that are specifically chosen for their ability to grow Pinot Noir.
Our other labels include Chardonnays and Rhone-style wines that showcase small-production varietals like Grenache Blanc and Carignane that we feel are perfect for pairing with foods, easy to drink and easy on your wallet.
We invite you to join us and experience these amazing wines.

Roger Roessler, Vintner
Having spent over 40 years opening and running dozens of restaurant businesses throughout the Western United States, Roger Roessler found himself with a natural and growing attraction to wines and winemaking. Over the years, his restaurants went through many changes, including an increased emphasis on fine wines. One of those restaurants was the historic Swiss Hotel, located on the plaza in Sonoma, and while working on that project in the 1990s, he found himself drawn to make a permanent home in the wine country. In the heart of wine country it wasn’t long before his idea of making wine became a reality, and Roessler Wine Cellars was born. During the years from 2000 to 2011, crafting single vineyard and appellation blended Pinot Noir became a new passion. And in this period, Roger began to think of a new vision and direction: create truly great value wines that expressed the characteristics of place as well as their varietal character. Now the Pinot Noir he loves so much has been joined by a handful of other unique wines.
